Advocates at Free Yourself Women Foundation assist participants in learning about their rights as victims of domestic violence, through counseling, support and facilitating access to public resources. Advocates assess participants’ needs, work with them to develop a personalized safety plan, identify community resources, provide assistance in accessing these services.
The services offered at Free Yourself Women Foundation are essential to helping victims re-build their lives after victimization. Our services also help them understand, and participate in, and provide them with safe shelter, if needed. During the first critical days after they begin seeking services at Free Yourself Women Foundation, the advocate will be there as a support system, someone they can lean on as she or he begins a new life.
